THE PRIVILEGES OF DIVINE DIFFERENCE

 Are you a worshiper of God? Have you received Christ as saviour? Do you have a covenant with God by the blood of Christ Jesus? If yes, you are special to God. God is very intentional and deliberate about separating his own people for protection and blessings. Just look at the declaration in the highlighted part of this scripture:

  Exodus 11:6-7 
[6] There will be loud wailing throughout Egypt—worse than there has ever been or ever will be again. [7] But among the Israelites not a dog will bark at any person or animal.’ Then you will know that the Lord makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel.  

The same principle is repeated in the highlighted part of another scripture below:  

Malachi 3:17-18
[17] “On the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty, “they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him. [18] And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not. 

Isn't it great to know that being a child of God grants special divine privileges because God does not mix us up with unbelievers? God is specially interested in his own, though he loves everybody. 

May this assurance continually give us confidence in God's presence!
