THE GREATEST DEFENCE AGAINST SATANIC ATTACKS

The devil and his cohort are out there doing their thing: to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). Their assignment is simply to sabotage the interest of God. This includes the interest of God on your life. The more relevant you become in God's agenda, the more they notice you, and the more they try to get you down. The devil goes around like a roaring lion looking for whom to devour (1Peter.5:8). He even tried to devour Christ, but Christ was always victorious over him. In John 14:39, Christ gives us a clear idea of how his victory over the devil was guaranteed. He said "..., for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me." The ruler of this word system is the devil, Satan. He had nothing of his in Christ. Therefore, he had no power over him. That's why some Bible version translate as "...he has no power over me." Every sin is the property of Satan. If he has his property in a person, he has the right and power to afflict that person. But Jesus Christ boldy proclaimed "...he has nothing in me." Can we make this bold declaration? 

 

Having nothing of the devil in us is the greatest defence against him. Holiness is the number one defence!
