Every form of warfare involves strategy. This is essentially the reason why military officers are subjected to training. In the warfare of life, there are strategies of heaven that you, as a child of God, will have to learn. These are spiritual principles of dominion sometimes referred to as kingdom principles. By them alone, you will survive with your integrity intact. Today’s reading gives us insight into how God expects us to handle strife at home, at work, in the community etc. Ordinarily, we are often driven by ego to either “show them” that we are no fools, and go ahead to give ‘them’ a piece of our minds or “put them where they belong”. Many people are beginning to ask questions about the efficacy of prayers being said for Nigeria by concerned Christians all over the country. Recently I attended a Christian meeting in which someone pointed out that those nations where people are NOT so prayerful are faring better than Nigeria which is reputed to be the most “religious” societies on earth. Heaven’s Checklist A checklist is a list of crucial things that have to be verified before something can be said to have met certain prescribed standards. God has his own checklist for assessing us. There are many items on that checklist, but today’s message is about things that are NOT on the list. You earthly possessions, your knowledge and your status are NOT on the list.
