A HEAVENLY STRATEGY FOR HANDLING STRIFE AND PLOTS AGAINST YOU
Every form of warfare involves strategy. This is essentially the reason why military officers are subjected to training. In the warfare of life, there are strategies of heaven that you, as a child of God, will have to learn. These are spiritual principles of dominion sometimes referred to as kingdom principles. By them alone, you will survive with your integrity intact.
Today’s reading gives us insight into how God expects us to handle strife at home, at work, in the community etc. Ordinarily, we are often driven by ego to either “show them” that we are no fools, and go ahead to give ‘them’ a piece of our minds or “put them where they belong”. Jesus did not teach us all that.
Calm down folks! That battle is the lord’s. Let him fight it out in his own way. The tit-for-tat approach is not His way. Just pray about that matter without a vindictive intention. Your voice must not be heard in the streets. You must not even break the bruised reed. Keep on loving the adversaries while you pray, and see God in action.
Read Matt. 12: 15-21.
Mat 12:15
When Jesus heard about the plot against him, he went away from that place; and large crowds followed him. He healed all the sick
Mat 12:16 and gave them orders not to tell others about him.
Mat 12:17 He did this so as to make come true what God had said through the prophet Isaiah:
Mat 12:18 "Here is my servant, whom I have chosen, the one I love, and with whom I am pleased. I will send my Spirit upon him, and he will announce my judgment to the nations.
Mat 12:19 He will not argue or shout, or make loud speeches in the streets.
Mat 12:20 He will not break off a bent reed, nor put out a flickering lamp. He will persist until he causes justice to triumph,
Mat 12:21 and on him all peoples will put their hope."
