AN URGENT QUESTION YOU NEED TO ASK GOD

Image
When Christ encountered Saul on the way to Damascus, Saul (as recorded in the King James Bible) asked a very good question:    And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? ...Acts 9:6 KJV This is a question every Christian must ask about their lives. The Lord makes it clear that we are made for specific assignments on earth. It is written in Ephesians 2:10 KJV  that ...we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.    Jeremiah, as an example, must have been shocked when God told him he had ordained him a prophet even before he (Jeremiah) was formed in his mother's womb ( Jeremiah 1:5 KJV Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations). Just like Jeremiah, you have your own unique assignment too , and you must know it if you want to live for Chri...

THE GREATEST DEFENCE AGAINST SATANIC ATTACKS

Image
The devil and his cohort are out there doing their thing: to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). Their assignment is simply to sabotage the interest of God. This includes the interest of God on your life. The more relevant you become in God's agenda, the more they notice you, and the more they try to get you down. The devil goes around like a roaring lion looking for whom to devour (1Peter.5:8). He even tried to devour Christ, but Christ was always victorious over him. In John 14:39, Christ gives us a clear idea of how his victory over the devil was guaranteed. He said "..., for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me." The ruler of this word system is the devil, Satan. He had nothing of his in Christ. Therefore, he had no power over him. That's why some Bible version translate as "...he has no power over me." Every sin is the property of Satan. If he has his property in a person, he has the right and power to afflict that person. But...

LESSONS ON THE CHOICE OF PLACE OF FELLOWSHIP

LESSONS ON THE CHOICE OF PLACE OF FELLOWSHIP There are so many churches today. There are so many doctrinal variations too. Only the Holy Spirit, via discernment, can guide a Christian correctly on the choice of fellowship. But below are some general principles to bear in mind. 1. The Assembly's Disposition towards the Problem of Sin The major problem God has with humans is sin, both among unbelievers and believers. That is why the subject matter of scripture is predominantly how to live holy. In fact, the objective of the coming of Jesus is clear in God's instruction to Joseph in Matt. 1:21: "Then after her baby is born, name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” This is why the central job of a pastor is to teach holiness as directed expressly in Ezekiel 44:23   “ The priests are to teach my people the difference between what is holy and what is not, and between what is ritually clean and what is not." 2.  The Assembly's Disposition towards...
