…ON THAT DAY!
I plead with you to patiently read the Bible passage below in spite of your busy schedule.
Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works….
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
This portions of Revelation chapter20 refer an issue that you cannot afford NOT to think about from time to time. That issue is the final judgment. It is the most crucial issue in the Bible. The very essence of being a Christian is to avoid being on the wrong side of the events described in this Bible prophecy. Yet ,this matter often fades to the background in our daily living. We are so pre occupied with life we forget about the end. The issues of today are beclouding our knowledge of the great tomorrow. The teachings in our churches are not helping matters. There is too much emphasis on material things at the expense of what we are supposed to seek first.
The need to think about this great day becomes more pertinent when we consider what Jesus said about it:
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
There are many people who are sure of their standing now because they have not been taught about the things that really matter. They will be shocked when the lord rejects them on THAT DAY!
May I then draw your attention to the things that matter. Please read this message from the book of Psalms:
Psa 24:3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
Psa 24:4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
Brothers and sisters, nobody is coming before God who has not turned his back on the sinful life.
No defiled thing is going to avoid eternal separation from God.
Finally read this message from the Bible:
Rev 21:27 But nothing that is impure will enter the city, nor anyone who does shameful things or tells lies. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of the living will enter the city.
If need be, make things right with God. Let everyone reading this sincerely pray with this psalm:
Psa 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
Psa 139:24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
You may also need to shift to a place of worship where the things that matter are taught, even if it makes you look ‘old school’. Just do what will help you. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
